About the Founder, Chris Terenzio
For the last 21 years, Chris Terenzio has been helping people get fit and improve their lives through fitness. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Human Performance at Southern Connecticut State University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He is also certified with the American Council on Exercise.
Chris started his fitness career working at local fitness clubs where he served as a personal trainer, conducted fitness assessments, designed exercise programs and taught people how to get the most out of their memberships. He has also served as a personal trainer and director of training at a small, one on one training studio in Stamford. For the last six years, Chris has been running his own, successful fitness business. He conducts group classes, semi-private sessions and one on one fitness sessions. He also addresses groups on various health and fitness related topics.
Chris has successfully completed many continuing education courses that certify him to work with a wide variety of clients. He has experience working with: the visually impaired, breast cancer survivors, clients with diabetes and cardiovascular disease, individuals who have undergone knee and hip replacements, as well as mature adults and children. Chris has extensive knowledge of the protocols that must be followed, and how and when to make the necessary modifications to the programs.
Chris’ passion for fitness and athletics began at a young age as he participated in organized baseball, football, basketball and hockey leagues. As an adult, Chris participates in triathlons, multi sport adventure races, and cycling events. He is an avid rock climber, mountain and road cyclist and snow boarder. Chris’ newest sport is golf, and on his last vacation he added surfing to his repertoire.
Chris feels that with commitment comes results, and that effort equals success. He says that once you get started you will love exercising. During their sessions together, Chris teaches his clients a great deal about what their bodies. With this knowledge, the people who Chris works withc realize that they are capable of achieving their goals.
Our Team
Phyllis Gunning
Phyllis is an AFAA Certified Personal Trainer who has worked in the fitness field for over 10 years. Through her years of training she has worked with a wide variety of clients ranging from beginners to the extremely fit, teens to senior citizens, pre natal clients and those with special medical considerations.
Workouts with Phyllis include; resistance training, cardiovascular conditioning, functional fitness and exercises designed to challenge and improve balance.
Being a mom herself, Phyllis realizes how important exercise is. More importantly, she understands that parenting requires a great deal of time and energy. Therefore, she designs programs that fit into a person’s daily routine, which enables her clients to stay fit and motivated without being overwhelmed. Her training programs are focused on results. Her motto is, ”maximal results in minimal time.”
